I recently had the opportunity to create a classic punk-inspired site design for 'Free Eden' – the fictional clothing store in IFC Films' newest movie Forbidden Fruits. The main goals for the site were: 1) make the store feel real for fans, 2) get fans to sign up for updates about the film, 3) keep fans coming back.
With 3 phases scoped, we first created a simple landing page where fans found a phone number to call that let them hear a message from Free Eden's manager, Apple. Next, we created a job application form to give fans a small taste of what the ladies at Free Eden are really looking for in new hires. And lastly, we created an 'About Us' page which had clues in the beginning of each sentence that prompted fans to try to solve the puzzle.
