Set in 1844, small-town reverend Ezekiel Brown (Daniel Radcliffe) enlists wanted outlaw Benny the Teen (Steve Buscemi) to lead his people west along the Oregon Trail. And our friends at TBS enlisted us to lead the social campaign for this hilarious season 3 of Miracle Workers. The campaign included overall art direction, motion graphics, and video editing. Since the show isn't your typical western, the team and I were able to create content that is a bit unexpected and really playful and colorful.
We collaborated with the amazing Juan Esteban Rodríguez to create illustrated posters, that introduced each of the 5 main characters. These posters kicked off our campaign and really helped set the tone for everything we did throughout.
We created additional character quote graphics that were meant to give fans a better sense of each character's personality. Since the tone of the show is really fun and silly, and the dialogue is set in a more modern time period, we were able to create pieces that feel a bit more contemporary.
In addition to the social creative, TBS wanted us to design a special billboard for the premiere event of the show. This billboard–that ultimately didn't go to print–would have been placed above the iconic Saddle Ranch Chop House on Sunset in Hollywood. I came up with the copy seen on the billboards, which played into the location and also the goofiness of the show. I wanted to catch the attention of people driving along Sunset, while also staying true to the tone of the show.
Thank you!
